rgunnell-
I'm having the same exact problem with my Netgear WND3900. No connection on the Netgear but full connection on the Cisco network at work.
Have you found any resolution?

Well after a length test the .221 drivers are working good for me.
Now off to find a forum that can help with the display which has begun switching itself off rapidly after being woken up.
Corey, this is should have been called the Acer Lemon.
It's beyond a joke now, Im an experimental physicist and don't have this many issues with dodgy eastern eurpean equipment thats got questionable drivers.
Thanks Acer.....

221 has been running fine for about a week now - even when putting the device in hibernate. Looks like a 'random' problem as suggested before. After that driver install, I've had no problems whatsoever with the S7 as a whole. Happy as can be.

While I am sure there are faulty S7s out there.....which is extremely upsetting and frustrating when it happens to you, I am not seeing the forums flood with news of hardware failures. Typically forums show a strong representation of pervasive failures because we naturally tend to want to shout and vent to the world about things that disappoint us. This thread is the single largest thread about the S7, and rightly so with all the WiFi problems people have.
I do have genuine concerns about Acer service however. My first S7 came with a cracked bluetooth mouse (crack in the plastic of the right mouse button). Acer support didn't even believe a mouse came with the laptop....then accused me of mistreating it even though it just came out of the box....then said because it was already paired with the laptop it must have been a used computer (even though the original Acer seal was intact). In the end I had to send the WHOLE laptop and mouse back to the retailer for complete replacement, because they couldn't take a mouse out of another box, and the mouse is not available separately.

curious, but have you turned off the laptop or rebooted any time during the week since you installed 221?

@dracore Yes. I rebooted twice. Once because I installed a new version of Avast anti-virus (shortly after installing 221), and once yesterday evening after installing Microsoft office updates. In between, I had no network hiccups, and I used the system on two different wifi networks (at home at at the office of one of my customers).

Note: I installed 221 on the 5th, so it is exactly a week ago today.

I suspect it might be a cumulative thing. If you leave your laptop running and never reboot, at some point down the line it goes into Limited mode. Don't recall but my uptime at the time it went down was possibly 6-7 days
I always leave my laptop on and rarely reboot so maybe that's why I encountered 221 going down on me a few days ago. My current up time to 2 days 16h right now so I'll keep my eyes peeled again.
On a side note, my bluetooth wireless speakers went "down" yesterday. Although my device appeared to be connected (it has a green light to show BT connectivity) and Windows said everything was fine, sound was being routed through the laptop speakers instead. The BT disconnect button was greyed out in Control Panel so the only way to reset BT was to cycle Airplane mode.
On top of that, I'm not sure if cycling Airplane mode has any effect on when the Limited wifi connection occurs again.... only time will tell.

Cory from Acer.. any update on that DRIVER yet? I tried every suggestion on this forum and still get the DCs. I've had the laptop for only 9 days now and will most likely take it back.. and will have to provide a poor rating unfortunately if ACER cannot remedy this. If not remedied, I will report this to the Better Business Bureau.
I have also gone the Acer tech support route, and as others suggest, someone from India gets on the phone and acts like they never heard of this issue.. even though there are so many post on this forum. I am pretty annoyed because I spent extra $$$$ to get your top of the line S7 391-9886 model and this experience is has been unacceptable. This is now huring your sales. I just told a friend not to get the Acer now because I wasted my entire weekend trying toresearch and remedy the issue to no avail.
Please advise at your earliest ACER.

It seems that 221 died on me again after 20 hours uptime. So now I know for sure it is not an accumulation of time issue. Perhaps there is some kind of packet that is sent/received that causes the 221 drivers to flip out and go into Limited wifi mode.
