So I just spent Xmas in the north of England using a BT Router, no droppped connections at all.
Returned home back to my 3G Options Globesurfer X1 router and back to the dropped wifi connections every so often willy nilly. My other laptop (a Dell 1520), no dropped connections at all.
Something wrong here, Mr Acer, and not happy at all.

Just an update to my previous post. SInce restoring my PC back to factory state (using the option to KEEP my data intact), both my Bluetooth mouse and Wifi have been working as expected (on the .075 driver set).
All windows updates have run and been udpated including the ACER Updates for the BIOS and VGA Driver (of course, but not the wifi/bluetooth combo).
Additional software (Desktop apps) include:
MS Office 2013 Pro Plus
MS Visio 2013
MS Project 2013
MS SharePoint Designer 2010 and 2013
Cisco VPN Client
Visual Studio 2012 Ulitmate
and operating property.
I highly recommend Acer pull the new drivers until you guys can figure out the cause. It seems people on the old .075 drivers dont have problems, and there is no clean way to go back to that driver once you upgrade because the udpated drivers are now packaged differently (a combo set vs separate).
Keep your customer happy (and your partner Microsoft - since they feature the S7 as a signiture notebook) and pull the new driver update...

1. DOWNLOAD new WiFi driver.
2. Unzip it.
3. UNINSTALL existing wifi driver at all.
4. Go to device manager, find an adapter, install driver THROUGHT "I will point by myself, blah-blah-blah" and pointing to downloaded and unziped driver from point 2.
5. REBOOT
I have found this at MS forum.
I did it with latest (.221) driver.
2 hours without any issues... two more hours, and still everytning is ok.
Seems like it worked for me.
Hope it will help you, guys

I've been using my laptop for 4-5hrs with no problem with my WIFI at home with the latest drivers, also using the Bluetooth mouse. Tomorrow I'll try at work and see how it performs

I have the wifi / Bluetooth problems on my S7 and I plunked down over three grand for two of these worthless piles of junk. I don't have the ability or the desire to seek a detailed fix from techno-maniacs on a public forum.
Acer knows of this problem and is committing fraud every day by selling these expenisive machines to thousands of unsuspecting customers. Large companies always lie when a new product is defective - Rather than be honest and stop selling the product, they pretend to not know of the problem and they issue a recall later so they can keep the money flowing. This way they get to use our time and money to absorb their negligence and incompetence.
When I called Acer support, each person I spoke to pretended not to know about the problem.
Someone needs to go to utube and make a clever video and show up the corporate liars at Acer. If you impede their business they will then pay attention to you.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
I can't stay connected for more than 20 minutes. I paid almost 2k for this piece of crap.
ACER STOP HIDING YOU KNOW OF THIS PROBLEM FIX IT OR STOP SELLING THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE.

Everybody here needs to go back to where you bought your laptop and make a review - let those who have a choice about buying it know what your in for.
Give it 0 stars - explain wifi does not work and acer's has 1. not admitted a problem and 2. has not made any progress in fixing it.
I did... Hope it helped someone choose another product.

I too am having problems, my wifi will disconnect every five minutes or so. I didn't have this problem until I downloaded the .217 drivers. I clicked on the link provided on page 10 to download the new .221 drivers, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Did Acer take them down?
