Aspire 1551 Having a black screen.

Hello.

Recently, my Aspire 1551 just stopped working coorectly. As a matter of fact, it no doesn't launch properly. What happens is that the power light opens, but the screen stays black. What is is this? Has anyone lived this?

Please help me.

Have you attempted to connect an external monitor to the system to see if it outputs anything?
