For my country (Germany) there is also no update available yet. You can download from Acer-US page (http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers) but i don't know whether it is correct version.

I've found it under Windows 8.1 drivers. Good luck people, works great. However this did not fixed my touchscreen issue but atleast I can safely use my laptop again. Thank you again Acer!

Hi all,

Glad to hear good results so far. The BIOS was posted yesterday however it may take upto 72hours for all regions to show it on our Drivers and Manuals sections. The v2.28 is the same for all regions.

Cory, can you please help me with the touchscreen issue? I'm clueless right now. Can you confirm that my model (V5-573G-54204G1Takk) has a built in touchscreen function?

Hi venom,

I can confirm that the V5-573G does not have a touchscreen. The V5-573P or the V5-573PG would have touchscreens. The P is the indicator for the touchscreen on these units.

It is in Romanian but if you scroll down on the page a bit you can see the picture of a touchscreen and it says it has 10 point touchscreen. Also in the list of the drivers I've found the Elan HID Monitor driver. When I install that driver my Windows 8.1 says it has limited touch support to 5 fingers. I'm really, really confused. What do you suggest? Should I return the product where I bought from? Should I call Consumer Protection and sue them for false marketing? Waiting for your answer.

I would recommend contacting the reseller and pointing out the issue. Obviously I can't make out everything, but at worst I hope it's just a simple mistake. We do have many V5 series notebooks that do have touch and they have just been pointing out the potential feature of the series.

i don't fully understand what this new feature means: "Add hybridGraphics function for N15P-GT VGA". Nice to hear that v.2.28 solves these critical problems.
