Hi Acer-Cory,
I think DivX want's to know, what happens if the system shuts down during flash process of the new bios. I think it is likely that this can happen. Is it possible at all to update bios of affected units?
Btw: i have the same problem with 2.26 an wait for new bios version...

Thanks for trying to clear that up. Hopefully you can complete the process without issue, but if it occurs you would need to contact your local Acer support team for help at that point.

Hi All,
I've received word that the testing is expected to be completed and the new BIOS posted within a 1-2 weeks. I'll update here if this information changes.
Cory

Hello everyone. I've updated my bios from 2.24 to 2.26 and got the same issue as you people are getting. So I'm waiting now for the 2.28 update, I really hope it will solve our problem. I have another issue by the way. Since I bought my 573g I can't use the touchscreen at all. Came with Linpus on it, that was changed to Windows 8 immediately. I've installed the recommended driver for the touchscreen (HID-MONITOR DRIVER) found on the support page but the problem still exists. I've phoned to the local shop where they told me to update to 8.1 but that was a reef too. Has anyone faced this issue before? Can you guys please post a proper driver for my touchscreen? What seems to be the problem? My model is Aspire V5-573G-54204G1Takk. Help me!
P.S.: please upload the new bios version as soon as possible.

Did you try it? Does this version of bios resolve the problems? Is it stable? Do you have any new problems with it?
