I have an Acer Aspire V5-471 and downgraded it from Windows 8 to Windows 7 64bit
Got all my drivers from this site to install for my new OS and all seems to be working fine except the fn key adjustment for the display brightness of my monitor. My fn key for audio adjustment is working fine but not for the brightness.
How can I fix this? please help

hi...
You need to install the lauch manager application to fix the issue with function keys.
You need to download and install it. Here's is the weblink : http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Applicatio

I have kind of the reverse problem. I updated my Acer Aspire V5-571P (with the i5-3337U CPU) from Windows 8, to Windows 8.1 -- versus downgrading -- and I too have lost Fn key control of my brightness.
The Acer download sites are unclear on what version of the launch manager I need.
Any ideas? I downloaded several versions, plus some firmware updates, all based on net suggestions, but there are too many to just dive in and install without further guidance. I am thinking ONE of these might do the trick...but which? See screen shot.
Thanks in advance.
Julho
Update:
No improvement as of yet. I still do not know which drivers/Launch Manager version (if any of the above) I should use.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.
