After this was done my computer specification shows only 128GB hard drive space instead of 256GB what could be the reason for this? Please Help

Re: Acer Aspire S7 SSD Failure

Only one disk is shown is this kind of thing possible i mean there is only one SSD 256GB hard drive in my laptop and now only 120GB is shown...before this incident it showed two disk like Disk 0 and Disk 1...Is my SSD logically partitioned into two sectors??

Have you checked in Device Manager if all the drivers are installed correctly?

Windows key + X

Device Manager

check if any yellow exclamation mark is present.

Check also on Disk Drive under Device Manager if your SSD is recognised correctly.

Are you sure that you have only one 256GB SSD?

Disk0 and Disk1 are 2 physical SSD.....

Check also in Bios.

Re: Acer Aspire S7 SSD Failure

Your S7 should have 2 128 GB SSD drives. They are set up in a RAID Configuration.

Re: Acer Aspire S7 SSD Failure

This will raise something else:

1) check in Bios if the 2 SSD are recognised and if RAID is enabled, check the RAID status at boot, you must enter the RAID configuration and look if both SSD are available and in good health

2) if both the SSD are available you must rebuild the RAID to have the 256GB size (RAID0), so it's better to backup what you need from the current OS installation and then rebuild the RAID.

3) if one SSD is missing from the BIOS or RAID....Contact Acer support service.
