Hello all. Im hoping someone out there in ACER expert land can help me out. I just bought this laptop and was really hoping to use WIDI. When I tried to install Netgear Push 2 TV, I had all kinds of issues. Come to find out that there is no WIDI on this laptop at all. Not in any file system.
On the Box it says windows 8.1 but when speaking with a Acer rep, they said it was shipped as Windows 8. I spoke with 2 different Acer reps. One rep told me it does not support WIDI, the other said was unsure of the issue and return to Best Buy. The label on the laptop clearly states it supports WIDI.
I downloaded WIDI update tool and it said needed to upgrade my Graphics card. When I went to download VGA card on Acer web site, the download said these were the wrong drivers.
I am now completely re-installing the system but Im pretty sure that the specs of this laptop does support WIDI. When I tried to download WIDI from Intel site it said my platform was not compatible.
Any help regarding these matters by anyone is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am sorry you are experiencing these problems and hope I can provide some help. I do show that this model supports WiDi out of the box. Now because it is Windows 8/8.1 you do not have to install any WiDi applications. Everything is done through Windows and we have an article I would recommend reviewing to help connect to your WiDi adapter:

I would recommend restoring the system to factory defaults once more and try the steps provided in the article above. Please let me know if this helps or what else we can do to try and get you up and working.
