Hi,
I picked up a new w700 a few days ago but have been battling with some issues with how unresponsive it can be at times. I have used an atom powered tablet qith 2gig of ram that felt more responsive than this. Most noticable is scrolling on web pages, moving finger up and down on the forum here it takes over a second to respond in either direction and stutters heavily. Typing on the keyboard after it opens usually results in some swearing as hangs on and off for a second or 2... press press press press nothing, then they all come at once.
I understand theres some driver issues with w8.1 so im guessing thats what is up, i upgraded to it as soon as i got it so i dont have a before and after comparison. Id rather sort this issue if possible rather than do a system restore and revert back to w8.
Reading through the forums it seems theres a power management and video card issue, so far inhave gotten the latest driverrs off the acer site but went to the intelsitr for the hd4000 drivers. First install ofnthe hd4000 driver i had the areo option ticked, read to disable that so did an un/re-install and sremed better but still not right.Im open to suggestions as to what can be done next. I read in another post about disabling thermal management...
Any info on this would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Luke
