If I crack one of these open, would I be able to upgrade the SSD, or is it soldered onto the board?

I'm interested in cracking open the SA5-271 some time as well.

There is little information on the Internet regarding how to open the SA5-271 but the LiquidLoop video accidentally (or purposefully) revealed the internals of the SA5-271 (Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCDJKeDJpJE ):

From the video it looks to me the internal M.2 SSD is not soldered to the motherboard; it is inserted into the socket and fixed with a screw, just like you would see on other laptops.

The more difficult question is how to open the back cover.

Hopefully it'll be easier than opening the Surface Pros!  Man Mad ( ಠ益ಠ) ( ಠ益ಠ) ( ಠ益ಠ)
