[Swift 5] Info on recovery partition

Hi,

I have a Acer Swift 5 and i have a question on the recovery partition: on Disk Management it shows as a 1GB, empty, hidden and with no letter assigned partition. How can it be only 1GB if it is needed to recover the system? My guess would be that the C: partition has all the files to restore a clean W10 and the 1GB Acer-added partition provides the files to customize the fresh install with Acer programs and settings. Am i right?

Also, i plan on doing a clean W10 install using Microsoft's Media Creation Tool. Will the recovery partition work after that, since i think it relies on Windows' recovery feature?

2) no, if you do a clean install windows 10 will have its own recovery partition and it will smaller (450MB)

Hm, ok, thanks for the info. I created a USB recovery media using this guide; that USB drive contains W10 recovery files + Acer custom recovery files, right?

So, if i am to clean install W10 am i good to go and i can wipe the hard drive, since the recovery partition will become useless?

Or better, is there a way to make the new W10 install use that recovery partition instead of the one it automatically creates (provided of course that i don't erase it)?

If i got this right, then i think the recovery partition it's not that useful...

Anyway, first thing i did after first boot was cloning and imaging the entire disk so i think i'm safe?

yes the recovery media created in that way will re-install everything like it was from factory.

windows 10 clean installation need its own created partition or the recovery partition it will not work, recovery partition is needed to boot under recovery enviroment if windows 10 OS has some issue; so it's needed and it's usefull.

you are safe with cloning.
