I'm in a remote location, and don't have a working thumb drive. However, I'm able to make a bootable SD card. Is there a way to make the SD drive on the R7-571 running Windows 8.1 a bootable location?

I doubt it, but go into Bios and enable the F12 boot menu, save and exit. With a sdcard in the slot, try the F12 and see if the sdcard is on it.

Its not. I actually got someone to bring me a jump drive. no way to force the Sd to boot from what i could see, though I hear there's an app called rufus that can make it bootable.

I was just told it may be possible, if the SD card is formatted and burned using an app called RUFUS to make it UEFI compliant. I'll test and report what I find...
