Hi all,

What HDMI version does the Acer R5-571T-57Z0 have?

Does this laptop have HDMI 2.0?

If it does, can the hardware (Intel i5-7200 and Graphics 620) drive a 4K monitor at 60 Hz?

(I don't play games at all).

As far as I know HDMI 1.4 and earlier can only ouput 4K resolution at 30 Hz, which makes the mouse pointer annoyingly laggy.

Only HDMI 2.0 (port and cable) can output to 4K monitors at 60 Hz.

I looked at the manual but it does not specify.

Any help is appreciated.

    it's HDMI 1.4

    HDMI® port up to 4096 x 2304: 24 Hz

    Thanks for the answer.

Is 24 Hz responsive enough for normal work such as MS Office, web browsing, etc?

I don't play games at all.

24Hz can be good for TVs but a proper PC monitor will look very bad.

    Hi you guys,
I am running Aspire S3 and have simliar problems.
Can anybody recommend any DVI adopters, if there are, to enhance the refresh rate from HDMI1.4 port?
    Any comments is appreciated.

Such adaptors don't exist. The laptop's port itself is the limitation here. It outputs 24Hz and you can't make it output more.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
