I recently got this laptop and everything is fine but the screen. It flickers constantly when the lid or the laptop is moved. I have to move the screen back and forth repeatedly for a temporary fix when using it.

Can anyone help?

NP: I have already updated all drivers in Device Manager

I have this same issue, I bought the laptop just over a week ago and the first one had display issues where if you set it down on a certian angle the display flashes black and flickers until you move the laptop.

I sent that one back and recieved new one yesterday, it seemed okay after a few hours of use however the flickering started again this morning when i moved the laptop.

I dont know if its an issue with the software but it seems like a build issue. I will try usng the laptop for another couple of days to see if it gets worse, if it does I think I will return it for a refund as it seems like an issue with the laptops build.

I am also facing this same issue. This problem does not appear in BIOS mode or safe mode. So it's a Windows 10 error. Tried to apply some fix but all in vain. Still waiting for some help from acer people to get it fixed.

Had mine checked at MSI-ECS and they said the LCD cable had to be replaced... Again, my unit is just a month old so I'm guessing this slipped from QA?... Anyway... So now it's almost two weeks and I'm still waiting for it to be fixed. Disappointing...

Anyone send their laptop to Acer service centre to fix the issue? Like to know if they do a one to one exchange?

We are sorry you guys are having this issue; there is a couple of procedure that might fix this issue.
We suggest you first try a power reset, remove the battery and press the power button for around 30 seconds, if the power reset does not fix, try updating the drivers.
If after this troubleshooting the unit still presents the issue, we suggest you contact Acer support in your region.

How do we remove the battery without voiding the warranty?

I'm also having the same problem. I brought it to the service center but all they did was reformat my laptop. After bringing it back, it only took a little over 10 minutes for the flickering to start again. I hope there's still a remedy to this problem.

Also, I've tried updating the drivers but it will not allow the installation of generic intel hd drivers. The drivers at the website was last updated on may 2017. An update was available through windows update but that made the problem worse so I ended up going back to the previous drivers from the website.

I brought my laptop in their service center yesterday. Guess what??? Its my third time!!! Same issue...display flickering. I am still waiting for their decision, if they gonna allow me for unit replacement. That model is hilarious and frustrating.

The service center replaced my motherboard last February because of the flickering. Initially they just reformatted the laptop and said that they observed the laptop until the battery was completely drained and they said that they didn't notice any flickering. So I took it back and in just a few minutes, the flickering happened so I took a video and showed it to them. That's when they said they will have the motherboard replaced.

My laptop was flicker free when the motherboard was replaced until now. It has only been three months since I had the motherboard replaced and now the problem is back. I hope that there's a way to replace the laptop itself. It's a good thing that my warranty is still up to 2019.

I purchased an Acer Predator Helios 300 laptop approx. 1 month ago.  It develops a faint flickering in the display after it warms up.  As my wife plays a browser game this was where it was first noticed and gives her headaches.  Depending on what it on the screen it can be hard to pick.  Sometimes when showing print it appears to be slightly blurring and clearing.  I took it back to the shop today, but they couldn't see the problem.  I have updated the video drivers, but made no difference.  Chrome seems marginally better than MS Edge, but still does it.  Looking for any ideas

    Hi KJ_45,
Try updating the display drivers in device manager or reinstall the display driver. follow the steps below.hope it will help you.

    1. Click Start, type Device Manager, and press Enter.
    2. Find and double-click the category of device whose driver you wish to uninstall (for example, the graphics card would be listed under Display Adapters).
    3. Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.
    4. Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click OK to remove the driver.
    5. After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer as soon as possible.   Please let me know if your issue is fixed after following  the above troubleshooting steps.

I also have the same flickering and beeping screen on an Acer Nitro 5 and this is only the second day.  I did realize I had attached a second monitor - it's an AOC USB monitor.  When I disconnected that second monitor everything went back to normal.  Guess i'll have to figure out another way to get more than one monitor attached to this computer.  But it is nice not to have the constant flickering and beeping.

Update to my previous comment - realized later  I had the AOC external monitor plugged into a USB2.0 port.  Should have realized there was not enough power for the monitor (that's why they give you a "Y" connector with 2 USB plugs).  I plugged the monitor into the USB3.0 port and everything is as it should be.  it was my mistake but easily corrected - just pay attention.
