unable to use recovery media in Windows 8

Hi,

I upgraded my hard drive and purchased a new recovery media to restore the system to factory settings but unbale to do so. Got error message to di on UEFI mode when tried in it gets to boot in Legacy mode and this loop goes on.

Tried formatting the hard drive using third part formatting tool and tried again using the legacy mode with achi setup but no go created a supervisor password in BIOS and than tried using the recovery media again the same loop of error message received.

Please let me know if any solution for this.

You need to wipe the partitions on the drive and let the recovery media create them.

No partitions.
