There are only a few moving parts inside your notebook that could make any noise that I can think of. It can be your HDD, optical drive or a fan inside your computer. But with your symptoms about starting Windows normally, this could be related to a HDD going bad and needing to be replaced. I would recommend contacting technical support or take it to a local technician for assistance.
