when i turn on my acer 25600 the welcome screen screen comes up and ask for a pass word when i got this computer i was not given a password and there is no way to get it how do i get past it

If it is a Windows 8 machine, the password may well be your Microsoft account (especially if you use Hotmail/Livemail/Outlook).

If you don't have a Microsoft account, it will be the password you used when you set up your PC. If all else fails, then you could perform a system recovery (ALT & F10 on startup) but you will loose all data on the hard drive.
