I have an Acer Aspire V3-731. It came with Windows 8 64 bit, but I did a clean installation of Windows 8.1 64 bit. Windows automatically installed the graphics drivers for it - Intel HD Graphics 9.17.10.3347. However, on Acer's drivers web page, I see there is a newer version of the driver for Windows 8.1 64 bit - version 10.18.10.3304. I have downloaded this driver, extracted the files from the ZIP file, and run the Setup.exe. However, when I do this, it gives me the following error message:
"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software"
Any ideas why? I have tried updating my BIOS to the latest version but to no avail. This laptop has the Intel B960 2.2 GHz processor, and apparently the Intel HD Graphics 2000 card.

The BIOS has nothing to do with the video drivers not installing.
My recommendation would be to restore the system to the OEM installed Windows 8 and upgrade from within the Windows Store to Windows 8.1.
