Hello. I just got my reovery discs. I am havinge trouble getting the disc to work according to the directions Ihat came with it. The directions tell me to insert the System Disc. Then to reboot computer. Then press f12 when the splashscreen first appears in order for the boot menu to come up. I don't know what the splash screen is? Even so, I have rebooted the thing many times and each time try f12 on a different screen to see if that's the right one. Nothing works. No menu. In fact, my computer runs as usual. I can hear the recovery disc running but that's it. I really need help.

The Splash screen is the Acer logo you see on boot, similar to this:

Usually on the bottom you will see "Press DEL for setup" (or sometimes "F2") and "Press F12 to change boot order". Pressing F12 allows you to change the boot order from hard drive to optical drive. If the F12 bit is missing, go to the setup menu (BIOS) and enable it there - you can even change the BIOS setting to boot from disk, just remember to change it back afterwards!
