I have an Acer Aspire 5810TZ, which windows 7 version should I use to upgrade from windows vista?

I need to updat my operating system so I can use rosetta stone on my laptop but there seems to be so many different versions of windows 7 on amazon.com. I have Windows Vista right now so which one should I get? I don't even mind getting windows 8 or 8.1 but not sure if my laptop is new enough to function at 100% with no issues. Help please! Thanks in advance!

Normally, software requirements are specified as Win7, Win8 etc. Which 'flavour' you have is unlikely to be relevant. However, do check if your software needs 32 or 64bit - if written for 64bit only then you require a 64bit OS. 32bit software will generally run on either. If you have the choice, select 64bit.
Acer have 32bit and 64bit Win7 drivers available for your model. Win8 drivers do not appear to be available so I would rule that out.
