My E700 is the same i.e. wifi connected but no internet.
This is a brand new phone for me and I'm not impressed. Did we get a faulty batch of phones?

Does seem to be a bug or hadware error. Please Acer, fix this problem as it seems to be not an incident but a common problem....

I reported the problem to Acer Support (via online Chat) and they wanted me to return the device to them for "repair".
The guy I was chatting with gave no indication that he knew of the issue. I referred him to this thread but he didn't acknowledge this was a relatively common issue.
He said the "repair" would take 5 - 7 business days. I told him I couldn't be withoput a phone fpr that length of time.
I'll wait for a few more days to see if Acer issue a fix, or even acknowledge there is a problem. After that, I'll return it to Amazon for a refund.
Very disappointed that a company like Acer don't seem to be taking this issue seriously.

Hi Everyone,
I'm curious, can you share what type of access point your connecting to?
We are looking internally, I wondering if we can discover any patterns with routers.
Thanks,
Cory

I use to routers both give the same problem.
1- primary UBEE router from Ziggo
2- secundairy Wireless Gigabit Dualband Router 450N X 6
i found the connection will be bogus is the roiuter switches speed on the UBEE router
the following setting will be the most stable:
| Wireless Interfaces: | CC:AF:78:86:6A:5E | |
| Country | NETHERLANDS | |
| Output Power | 25%50%75%100% | |
| 802.11 Band | 2.4 GHz5 GHz Current : 2.4 GHz | |
| 802.11 mode | B/G/N-mixB/G-mixN-only | |
| Control Channel | Auto12345678910111213 Current : 1 ***Interference Level: Acceptable | |
| Bandwidth | 20 MHz40 MHz Current : 20MHz | |
| Sideband for Control Channel (40 MHz only) | LowerNoneUpper | |
| Regulatory Mode | Off802.11d802.11h | |
| TPC Mitigation (dB) | 0 (Off)234 | |
| OBSS Coexistence | 0 (Disabled)1 (Enabled) | |
| STBC Tx | AutoOnOff |
If the 802.11mode is set to mixed and the bandwith is increased to 40 Mhz, the connection with the phone becomes instable!
The Gigabit dualband router with the 2.4 Ghz transmitter is set as follows and is instable with the phone
Fragment Threshold : 2346 (256-2346)
RTS Threshold : 2347 (1-2347)
Beacon Interval : 100 (20-1000 ms)
DTIM Period : 1 (1-255)

I have tried the phone with numerous routers/APs and it fails on all.
It is intermittent, though, as it receives emails overnight eventhough there would be no internet connection last thing at night or first thing in the morning. So obviously it comes back at times during the night.

Same settings as Man van Staal and same router, UBEE. But also tried on different routers at friends and family places. Mix form Cisco to Belking routers...
But tried almost every setting possible (only N, mixed b/g/n, 20 or 40 mhz etc). Also fixed IP vs dynamic etc.
