Acer Aspire E1-572G - Problem after updating AMD driver

Hi guys!

After updating to the latest driver(14.12) for my R7 M265 gpu, I suddenly find myself encountering a pretty stupid issue.

Upon attempting to shut down my laptop, you could say that the action isn't completely fulfilled. Screen shuts down, but other lights and USB stuff still stay powered.

Also, after a sleeping period of more than 2-3 minutes I'd guess, the laptop fails to come back to life, just stays in its coma..

What is there to do? Any advice is much appreciated !

Was the latest driver from Acer website?

if not, sometimes generic drivers can have some bad behaviour if not customised.

    Revert back to previous drivers.

go to device manager, select display adapters, double click on your GPU, click on drivers tab, then select roll back driver.

Considered that, though I wished there'd had been an option that would let me have the update.. Alright, thank you very much.

It was from AMD's website, as from Acer it's the 13.12 afaik. Oh well, going to stick to it until Acer brings it up to day, someday.
