 I have bought Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830T-6486 two years ago. The problem started with sudden appearence of  x mark on battery sign in task bar. The battery power kept on decreasing till it compeletly exhausted. Now system is dead even not accepting power through AC/DC adapter. The laptop has fixed battery. I have also tried battery reset button but no luck. The laptop failure is really frustating. Any idea to fix the problem will be highly appreciated.

The X means that the charger was not charging the battery and it failed evantually, you could get a new adapter and try, if you can take it to a local technician and get it checked.
