updated bios now windows is unactivated

105 days ago i did a clean install of win 8.1. i then activated it and it has been fine untill today. the only thing i have changed lately is an update to the bios(to ver. 1.22). i'm wondering now if i got a virus from the batch file i got from the acer website. just an fyi, i plan on doing another clean install and see if anything changes. btw i'm a student and i'm using a mak for win 8.1. has anyone else encountered this problem?
