I have an aspire one d255e. It powers up, logo screen, then just the cursor, and then blank screen. I've tried the unplugging and pressing the power button while holding for 1minute. Fans work. Help me please.

    grod19,

I am sorry to see that your Aspire One is no longer booting and just sitting with a blinking cursor. The problem sounds related to either the HDD or you may need to restore the operating system.

To determine if you HDD is bad, press the F2 key and enter the BIOS. On the Information tab you should see your HDD model name and serial number. If this information is not present, then it would indicate the HDD is bad. If the HDD information is listed this does not necessarily mean the HDD is not bad.
