hi i'am mljba  mike. my aspire one shut off i lost everything. kevin tried to fix it but windows was not legal. now my time ran out and kevin left me hanging, i didnt pay him. any ideas on how to get my little laptop working again. i got xp and no money right now on ssi. [edited for privacy]

Hi laurent_14  my littlaptop is an Acer Aspire one 11.6 no cd-rom it was running windows xp and thats going away, my niece gave this to me, she bought a touchscreen. this is perfect for me , i am new to the internet. If you or somebody here at the great Acer world could that would be great!  thanks mike

You can recover your system from the hidden partition (ALT+F10).

See page 15 of the pdf document: "Restoring the System from the DOS Interface" -Select Factory Default Image option

The info you gave me did not work. My little acer aspire one does not want to work for some reason. It shut off and lost every thing . KUDOS TOO YOU for the help. Now it says ( lets activate windows ) the next screen says unauthorized product key . I dont have a key , my neice gave it to me and she dont have it . they set it up at best buy in 2009. I asked a freind that works for IBM , and he tryed but dont know to much about acer systems He called acer for key and they said you have to buy it. I dont have it on ssi rite now. ssi keep cutting my check that i worked for, but you cant fight social security. KUDOS  for helping me, i really liked the little laptop. THANK YOU  MLJBA=mike

You'll find on the back side of your laptop. The real name is the Certificate of Authenticity label (COA).

The COA works only with your windows pre-installed (eRecovery medias).
