You can install any software you choose. As long as your system meets the minimum requirements, it should work. Please note that Acer has not tested and can not provide support for this 3rd party software.
You may want to contact the manufacturer of the software to how it will perform on a netbook, or possibly another community member can provide their experience with this software.

Installation is no problem but depending on your installed memory, using Netbeans 8 will be a pain. Netbeans is eating memory with every service added, feature turned on an server started. 500-1000 MB are the normal range during runtime. If I saw it correct than your notebook has only a 10" display. I can't imagine running Netbeans 8 with its tiny switches and small UI elements will be the best experience on such small display. If you still eager to run Netbeans on an Intel Atom powered device take a deep breath and...wait...very long...Netbeans 8 is also eating CPU time for breakfast. ![]()
