What is the simplest way to set up my Aspire One D257 for every day use ?

Hm, that's an odd question. The simplest way is to install an operating system you are familiar with.

Yes, Windows 8. Windows 8 has a significant faster user interface. Faster compared with its predecessors. Because this is an Intel Atom based notebook, Windows 8 is by far the best choice.

I have hp with window 7 ! can i use this ?

Yes, but Windows 7 has the older UI. Windows 8 was build for performance. But anyway, Windows 7 will make it too.
