eM350 NETBOOK replacement motherboard

Hi, I'm new this forum and hope that you'll forgive me if this question has been asked elsewhere.  I have a 2 year old emachine eM350 which was working perfectly until it had some fizzy drink split on it whist it was on.  The motherboard has considerable damage and it's clear to see that some of the components, including the chip, are damaged.  I consider that the only viable solution is to replace the motherboard.  However, will there be a problem running the OS with a different motherboard? If so, is there a simple solution? In anticipation, thanks.

I'm sorry to hear of the mishap and I'll do my best to answer the questions.

I would concur that the motherboard would need to be replaced and depending on what other components in the system were damaged, you may need to replace other parts as well.  Given the price point of the eM350, it may not be economical to replace these components.

An exact match on the motherboard should not require any OS changes.
