Aspire v5.....touchscreen cracked again yesterday- second time and third major problem in the year and a half I have had this computer. I have been especially careful since the last time....but it happened again. So.....i know how to disable touchscreen but the screen is freaking out thinking it is being poked so I cant even get to control panel. I dont need and dont use touch function anyways but how do I turn it off if I cant even get to control panel?

I am sorry to hear that the touchscreen is damaged. To my knowledge there is no way to disable the touchscreen without being able to navigate within Windows. I understand you stated this is the second time and it sounds like it may be out of warranty, but I would still recommend contacing technical support in your region.
