when i startup the pc and try to go to bios, pressing f2 does back then..

after a month, when i press f2, it just beeps (like back then), clears screen, and proceed to load the os..

2nd thing, hyper v isnt in the bios, i cant even enable it or disable but in msinfo32, i found out that 4 hyper v's are all to yes..

also, there is no hyper v in the features of windows...

OS - windows 8.1 (basic)

additionally, i want to update the bios because of this... of course, downloaded from the acer site..


would it be okay? or it is not recommended? i heard some are having difficulties., and often lead to black screen, unable to boot properly and bios getting corrupted.....

oh..nvm., i solved it myself... just asked for a fake bootable windows 8.. there, i chose repair windows...

then after that, i chose the option with command prompt

accessed my primary drive which is C., i searched for the folder of winrar in program files, opened it...

extracted my bios update from acer .

..(note that it needs to be the same version...)...

if your bios is 2.xx.xx....

the update must be starting with 2..

and then, if only .exe file is there, you must extract that also, because its subsystem files wont be read if you execute the .exe file, 

then just run the update.bat from it..


you need to be in charger and batteryy is charged 30%+


just wait and your bios will be reset to uefi then have a completely working bios..

hyper v is only for windows 8.1 pro and enterprise...

basic editions dont have the support of it..

it's reffer to virtualization ??
if yes, it absolutly enable for 32bit OS (in my expreince).
for 64bit OS you may do some BIOS modfied

modify in what aspect? just got my bios upgraded because of the legacy bios thing..

i really think 64 bit os needs the pro or enterprise in win8 and 8.1
