my brother gifted me aspire E1-522-5603. Where can i find the windows product key code for windows 8, as it is required to upgrade to Win 8.1.. NEED HELP ASAP

The product key is embedded in the system. There is no longer a COA sticker or need for a key as embedding makes this unnecessary.
This is a new Microsoft initiative. You should find that a reinstall (from the recovery partition) or update will install without requesting a key.
This will only succeed with the Acer supplied OS. Should you, for any reason, load a retail version then you would need to use the key provided with that software. (If you lose the ability to restore the OS from the recovery partition, the cheapest option would be to purchase Acer recover media.)
