Want a refund and need help getting it!

[ Editado ]

I made an awful mistake of buying an Acer v5-573 (Model # MS2361) a year ago and have had problems with it pretty much from day 1.  I tried to be patient and update drivers, speak to the technical team etc but a year and numerous phone calls later I have just about had enough.

I have had numerous problems - wireless being faulty, system crash, system being unstable, random shut down, touch screen lag, slow start up, even had to lose some data because the acer installed back up manager doesn't automatically back up all files. Basically, the laptop doesn't function appropriately AT ALL!

I spoke to Acer customer care who advised me to send my laptop to their technical team in Sydney for a service, 2 weeks later I got it back and it was worse than before. Suspicious icons appear on the desktop  and the search engine installed on internet explorer is even more weird. I called them back demanding a refund and had to send the unit away again for 10 days while they carried out more "tests" and spoke to their senior management about the refund. As predicted, the response was that the refund could not be granted as they did not find any fault with the computer. Here's where things get interesting, on receiving the laptop back at the end of last week (AFTER A MONTH OF NOT HAVING A COMPUTER TO WORK WITH - yes I am very frustrated as I am a PhD student in desperate need of a machine THAT WORKS) - the service report said and I quote "Faults found- System Unstable; Repairs performed - None as no fault found".

WHAT DOES THIS EVEN MEAN!?

Thanks in advance!
