Usefulness of Acer ePower Management on Win8 ?

Hi,

I was wondering what Acer ePower Manager really provides and if it is needed on Win 8.1 or not. Any clue about it?

(please note I know well the various power options offered by Win 8, and that here I'm just wondering the value added by Acer program).
