UEFI Bad Flash for V2.23 Acer Aspire V3-771 V2.13

[ Editado ]

I have an Acer Aspire V3 771G-9809 Laptop made on 12-26-2012 with UEFI bios V2.13. I flashed the UEFI Bios with V2.16, V2.23, and V2.28 and they all failed with an error message “Invalid Firmware Image”. Now after the bad flash, my laptop will not turn off automatically. I have to manually shut it down every time.

Look at the difference between my laptop configuration and the researched laptop configuration. It looks like to me that my laptop was updated and that the update configuration has been left out of the UEFI Bios V2.16, V2.23, and V2.28. This mismatch in configuration would certainly result in the error message “Invalid Firmware Image” since the bios is supposed to control the motherboard and all associated hardware. If the bios doesn’t find the hardware it is expected to find per the bios program, you will get the error message “Invalid Firmware Image”. Therefore my hardware motherboard configuration is not correctly listed in the UEFI bios.

Please have someone compare the UEFI Bios V2.16, V2.23, and V2.28 with the UEFI Bios 2.13 and update them so I can flash my laptop to the latest bios version and allow my laptop to turn off automatically. As it stands right now, I can never update my laptop. I would also like to know where I can download my UEFI bios V2.13. Please let me know where I can download the updated bios updates. This does not look like a difficult problem to solve. I have been trying to get this resolved since 12-02-2013 with no results. I do not understand why I can’t get anyone to fix this issue. Please have someone correct the bios for me. If you can’t get this fixed, please tell me who I have to contact in Acer to get this done.

Thank you very much for all the help you can give to get this problem resolved in a timely manner.

Re: UEFI Bad Flash for V2.23 Acer Aspire V3-771 V2.13

No, this does not solve my problem. Why would I want to go backward and it will not work anyway. I need ACER to fix the UEFI bios versions that I listed in order for my laptop to be updated with the new bios. PLEASE ACER, get someone to look at the bios versions as I stated initially.

Thank you for helping me. I have been trying to get this problem resolved since December of 2013 with no one understanding what the error message means.

i have this same problem ..  http://community.acer.com/t5/Notebooks-Netbooks/ao-756-2641-can-not-flash-bios-quot-invalid-firmware...    I think because the laptop does not shut down properly, ( you said you have to manually shut it down ) ( so you run the bios exe and windows shuts down, then you have to hold the power button to get the system to reboot ) which is probably why the flash wont work, need to figure out why its not shutting down / rebooting properly.  I too am still looking for a fix
