I have the Aspire V5-123. I thought it was a bit too light for Windows 8 so I'm trying out a few Linux distros before installing them.
I've disabled the "secure boot" feature and am trying to boot Lubuntu, but it gives me the message "System doesn't have any USB boot option. Please select another boot option in Boot Manager Menu."
I'm puzzled.

In Legacy mode, you will find USB FDD, click that and click F6 to move it to make it first boot option, press F10 to save chages and exit. You can go back to UEFI mode once you install your OS.
