my acer aspire will not boot up / when fired up the lites come on but no ones home.  all i get is a black screen, how do i computer to start up.  i tryed f2 no work n boot with a cd in drive no work . thanks

sounds like mainboard problem ,

or lcd

try connecting to a monitor , see if anything comes up.
