So my original R7 was replaced by ACER due to the wifi not working. The replacement worked better at first but has basically turned into my original. I can't even open google sometimes...it's unbelievably frustrating that my $500 Dell laptop from my employer works perfectly while my $1000 ACER won't even go online. Since this is my replacement, what are my options ACER?????

571?
Try right-clicking your Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter, clicking 'Properties", and clicking "Configure" on the box that pops up. Under the 'Advanced' tab, go to Bluetooth Collaboration and 'disable' it. Then scroll to the end of that list and 'enable' the Xpress option. (Thanks to another user whose name I forget for pointing this out - I used to get three bars at the limit of my home wifi range, but now I get four!)
You can also check the date on your Ezel hinge information sticker to make sure it was manufactured in August 2013 or later. If it wasn't, you should demand another replacement from Acer, and mention that you know Scarlett Johanssen personally.
Alternatively, if you can't be bothered with going through the hassle again, a USB wifi dongle is $10, or a really good one is $20.

Thanks for the response. It is a 571. The date of manufacture is May of 2013 so based on your reply I'm asuming there's nothing I can do with this one? Is that something ACER has mentioned publicly?

Did you try the Broadcom adapter settings? Should only take a minute to try.

Didn't have time before work to try it. How do I get to the adapter settings?

So I got to the Broadcom settings and there is no configure option when I right click. Tried to post a screenshot here but the file size is too large I guess

When I go into properties, there is no configure option anywhere. There's General, Sharing, Security & Customize tabs and none of them have a configure option.

Another way to get there is to go to Network and Sharing Settings (via the control panel or right-clicking a connection or swiping in and going to the networks) and left-clicking Change Adapter Settings.
Then you can right-click, go to Properties, etc...

That method got me to the right place. Now I'll test it out and report back. Thanks!
