Recovery Malfunction

I created the recovery disks and recently had to run it I omanufacturer an one it wants me to run a Windows installation disc and if I do not have one says to contact the computer manufacturer.

in Vista at least you will get this error if you try to use the 'WINDOWS' recover system option. what you need to do AFTER MAKING A BACKUP OF YOUR DATA is burn a set of recovery disks and install from there or press alt+F10 during boot to re-install the OS from the D2D recovery partition.
