You can't uninstall physical hardware without removing it. Windows will continue to find it at each boot.
Go to the Acer download site and install the correct Atheros driver for you machine and OS.

Hello srb_nash09,
Seeing from your picture, your Atheros AR5BWB222 wireless network adapter is already not installed. But Windows will be always trying to boot the last installed drivers.
Visit http://www.acer.com/worldwide/support/download.htm to download correct drivers.

I also have problems with the Atheros AR5BWB222 WNA. The task manager show that the wifi jump from low 50-100 Kbps to zero an stay there. Pdf files downolad very slowly and usually corrupted.
I have tried to unsinstall and install the updated drivers but still the wifi connection is very slow, irrespective on the router where I connect.
Any help?

Hello,
Your device is marked by a "!". What"s the error code?

Hello Cbarbero.
Have you checked the IP and DNS used on your Wireless connection are correct?
Windows 7, look at the taskbar, left click on your wireless icon (make sure you are already connected), right click on your wireless name and click on "Status".
You will see your Wireless Connection window, and click on "Diagnose".
If it doesn't help, try to click "Properties" and double click on "TCP/IPv4"
and mark on "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server automatically".
If it doesn't help, try to contact your internet provider to make sure and request new IP address if possible.

Dio I.
