I am currently having an issue on my pc that causes is it to just black screen randomly.

One moment I will have it running perfectly and the next it just black screens. The power stays on but I relised that when it does this the hard drive just turns off. It's like essential components just turn off but the pc power light stays on. Sometimes it doesn't work immediately after it. (meaning after I force power it off and turn it back on the screen just stays black but sometimes it does boot.)

Is this an issue with the hdd, the memory, the mobo?

I would really appreciate if someone could assist me to diagnose this issue.

Have you looked in the Event viewer for any messages regarding these events? Are you using any Temps monitoring utility like HW Monitor to check your Temps?

Apparently it was overheating so it would just kill itself.
