I have bought this Acer Aspire 20days ago. Choosing Acer over HP was a big mistake I made. From the day one, It is extremely slow to start or to shut. Windows would close, minimise and freeze on their own convenience. Havent been able to load facebook properly since then. Plug in crashes in between. I mean what were you thinking while manufacturing this piece? Or if its one of a kind incident, then is it that store salesman has fooled me and handed over this piece of junk to me. Just know restarted in the hope it would work fine, it took over 10 minutes to restart. I was staring at the system where it was glowing in the middle of the screen" Restarting". I am sure its only me facing all these troubles. I could hardly imagin CTRL+ALT+DELETE wouldnt load task manger as its right click hardly works. And this life saver doesnt help coz task manger also says...NOT RESPONDING". Extremely Frustrating

Sorry to hear that you have problems with your new purchase, to start Task manager click Ctrl+Shift+Esc.

Go to Power Options (right click battery icon in taskbar), select choose what power buttons do (left pane), see whether "Fast Start up" enabled.
