So I was benchmarking my V3-551-8419 to find out how upgrading it to DDR3-1600MHz from the factory 1333MHz improved things. I came across this... according to several benchmarks my memory bandwidth is just about identical to DDR2-800MHz. Which means that somehow, the DDR3-1600 in my computer is not being run at double data rate! You can see by this screenshot what im talking about. I'm running the latest bios, v2.14 Power mode is at "high performance"
I thought perhaps its a bios bug, tried downgrading but the installer wont allow it.
Update: Memory bandwidth test on SiSoftware Sandra indicates ~12GB/s memory bandwidth, as it should be. Must be a passmark bug.
