I have acer aspire 5942G laptop that won't turn on
just a black screen appear and nothing happen
the keyboard's lights turn on and the fan sound is there .... but won't do anything
......
i tried to connect it to LCD but nothing happen
they say that the problem is with the BIOS
so i need to know how to flash BIOS in aspire 5942G please

Try the following first:
1.Disconnect the mains, remove the battery and press power button for 20secs, re-connect mains, install the battery and see whether it starts.
If that doesn't help, remove memory modules, install one at a time and try eliminating whether any of them are faulty.
Let us know the outcome.

Have you tried updating BIOS before this problem occured? It seems you have corrupted BIOS, without additional details of what happened, what you were doing, it's very difficult to assist you, you need help from a professional Technician.

It's FAT32, I'll try to find something tomorrow as it's getting late and I'm off to bed, sorry.
EDIT:
Your model has Insyde BIOS and get help from a professional, he could change the chip or something if he couldn't recover the BIOS.

Hello,
Do you have access to bios setup utily? (For me, it's not a problem to flash under DOS)
If you have one file on your usb key, I suppose you have flashed under windows.
