My acer 5100 has a black screen, i took out the battery, and push the on botton to drain what ever in there, i put new rams in, the fan is still running. I try to do everything touch the fn and the other botton. I have a 80 gb hard drive that says 5400 can i still use that. Is my screen out or my lcd light. I try to hook it up to a monitor but nothing. I took out the wifi card, clean the rams and the fan. they say i can download bios to a usb card, but i dont no how to do it. My dvd runs. How can i fix it i need help is it my hard drive or mother board. there a green light on that has a picture of flashlight kind of. What can i do to fix it help me.

It sounds like you performed a lot of your own troubleshooting and repairs. Looking at what you have done would lead me to believe that the problem is the mainboard. It could be that the south bridge is no longer working or has seperated from the motherboard. This would require a motherboard replacement.
