My V5-571 is just over 1 year old and is very sparingly used. Recently I see that the battery is not charging. It says "0% available (plugged in, not charging)". However, battery indicator on the taskbar does momentarily show "charging" for a second or so. With that kind of usage, I would be shocked to replace the battery. Please advise.

Hi ajay_1988
I forgot to mention that I can run the laptop by connecting the power cord. Only problem is that it doesn't charge the battery. With that background that I can run my laptop powered by AC adapter plugged in, would you still feel that A/C adapter is faulty?

Bad battery is the best guess I have so far. But, can the battery develop problems in just 1 year especially when the laptop is not heavily used. I would not want to simply spend in a new battery if battery is not the problem. I'm looking for more ways to debug the cause of the problem.
