Hi

I have a Acer Aspire V5-572G running Windows 8.1 and have found that the microphone jack won't recognise any external mic that is placed into it. It won't detect on the sound option despite the fact all the drivers are updated. Anyone have a solution to this?

This seems to be an ongoing problem in 8.1. One poster on one site said uninstalling and reinstalling the driver fixed his.
