We are new to your help site, but have an Acer Aspire 554 for four years which has operated well until now.  Over the past few days we have had a message panel saying that there is no LAN connection.  This is strange as our desktop, tablet,and mobiles find our LAN with out problem. It is only the Aspire in trouble.  The modem is a Netgear42, the connection is wifi.  Can you help - please?

If you use WLAN than the message that the system can not find LAN connections is simply the notice that you cannot connect to the WLAN access point. In your case, your Netgear 42. Open a web browser and visit your access point maintenance site, this will be the URL of you Netgear device. Check if the WLAN is properly set-up.
