 I am really interested in buying this model that is available at Currys and Amazon shop. However I find its not listed in the Acer store and very little customer reviews on this model. Are there are known issues or is this a recalled or discontinued model ?

This is not a discontinued model, but the availability may vary depending on what region you are in. I do see this model listed in the US online store. If it is not available in the Acer store in your region, you may check with online retailers.

It is bizarre the E5-571 (or any of the E5) was not listed in the acer UK stores last week but several E5 series have appeared on it this week. Atleast I am glad it is very much a supported model .

I did end up buying this laptop last week and pleased with its performance so far particularly its battery life.
