Dear Friends,
I have bought the new laptop, Acer Aspire V3-772G-5413 (GTX850m)
The laptop has 4 RAM slots and it came with two RAM cards (2 X 4 GB). The RAM cards are Low voltage.
The issue:
1- I found that the two RAM cards installed on the 1st and 3rd slots
2- I was planning to buy another RAM card, so for keeping the RAM cards came with the laptop in one place I removed the RAM card from 3rd slot to 2nd slot
3- I powered up the machine, went to system properties and found the surprise “ Installed 8 GB (Usable 3.89 GB) “
4- I removed the RAM from slot 1 to check if slot 2 has a problem, but surprise again “ Installed 4 GB (Usable 3.89 GB) “
5- I returned the RAM cards to default (slot 1 and slot 3), working correctly “ Installed 8 GB (Usable 7.89 GB) “
What is wrong here?!
Is it a faulty motherboard or faulty RAM cards ? Please help

Dear Friend,
I think you are using 32-bit Windows Operationg System.
Try to install 64-bit Windows Operating System.
http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model-datashee
as abvoe link mention, you could able to install any Operating System built on 64 bit architechture.
Install 64-bit Windows O/S your problem will be solved.
Remarak:
your system configuration may appear like this but do not worry, your motherboard already shard some memory for intel GPU(it depends on your internal GPU buffersize-> not dedicated video memory).

it seems correct, it's not the same model but reading the Acer answer, you need to leave the 2 default ram modules on 1-3 slot and add the new one on the free slot ONLY:

"Thank you for your email. The Acer Aspire V3-772G-747a8G75Mamm has 4 memory slots, for a maximum of 32GB (4x 8GB). The current occupied lay-out is 2x 4GB. Without changing the current memory banks, you could add 2x 4GB or 2x 8GB.

the problem you were having is that for some reason, windows x86 is limited to only 4 gb no matter how much is installed!! Last year, my son built me a powerful gaming rig with 8 gb installed with x86, win 7 pro, and I had the exact same problem! My son told me to try x64, and the problem was solved, it showed the full 8 gb.

Odin, the user has x64 OS, his problem was related to ram stick position on the correct slot, please read my answer.
